Vortexgear is a Taiwanese manufacturer known in the circles of quality mechanics lovers. They stand out from other manufacturers by their desire to pack huge functionality in a compact case: extensive programmability, no gaps between the keys, rgb backlighting, stabilizers of their own production.

It is also the only Hi-end manufacturer that makes keycaps with SA and DSA profiles, which are quite rare and beloved by the community. If you are looking for something unusual or something very portable with rich functionality, Vortex is your place.

The Vortex Core RGB can hardly be called simply compact: it is ultra-compact

Access to various symbols (%,!,?, Etc.) is hidden in the FN layer, you will need to get used to this or reconfigure it for yourself. But when you get used to it, it will become clear how comfortable such a keyboard is. It is incredibly small and very light, it will take up almost no space in a bag or backpack, but you will always have a full-fledged mechanical keyboard at your fingertips.

The color of the keyboard is a combination of the classic creamy white color with light grey modifier keys in a Anodised CNC Aluminium Case. The Micro-USB connector is located on the upper left end.

The compactness of this model does not affect functionality in any way, it has the same functions as the full-size version due to the presence of an FN layer

Additional FN functions
By using the FN layer, the keyboard has functionality similar to full-size keyboards in a compact size.

RGB backlight
It has many different modes, the color can be adjusted through the R, G, B keys, or you can choose a ready-made color from the palette.

Ultra-compact
The keyboard is very small and very light, it will take up very little space in a bag or backpack.

Aluminium case
Cool and pleasant to the touch, the case is made of high quality and durable aluminum with rubber feet that will allow the keyboard to lie flat on the table.

Programmable
There are 4 layers on the keyboard: 1 unchangeable standard, the rest of the layers can be customized using the keyboard itself.

Double space
This is not just a space bar divided into two parts, you have an additional key at your disposal in a convenient place to which you can assign any action in a couple of clicks.

PBT keys
The caps are made of high-strength PBT plastic using dye-sublimation technology. This combination will allow the keys to retain their original appearance for a very long time.

N-Key Rollover
Allows you to simultaneously press an unlimited number of keys (NKRO). It can be useful for stenographers, in rhythm games or games for two people with one keyboard, but in general, you can stick to the rule: if you do not know what NKRO is, it will not be useful to you.

**The keyboard is partially compatible with Mac OS**
The keyboard is partially compatible with MAC OS: multimedia and additional FN functions are compatible with MAC OS and work as expected, you can swap the modifier keys in the system settings, but you can update the keyboard firmware only on Windows.
